Product Overview

Plan every shot before the camera rolls, then edit with nothing missing. The Cinematic Edition adds a fifth stage, Look, so that the references, palette, light, lens and sound are decided before anything is boarded. Shot IDs run from the storyboard to the light and lens plans, the shot list, the take log and the edit plan, so nothing is lost between pages.

  • Plan: shot language (sizes, angles, movements, with codes), a worked glaze-reveal example, and a coverage planner for A-roll, B-roll, inserts and sound.
  • Look (new in the Cinematic Edition): Look & Mood, with six reference frames; Colour & Grade (a five-colour palette, white balance per place, grade notes); a Light Plan sketched from above, with a three-point diagram; Lens, Frame Rate & Movement (the 180° shutter rule, 1 ÷ (2 × frame rate), settings for 50 Hz mains in the UK and 60 Hz in the US, slow motion, and what focal lengths are for); and a Sound & Music Plan (dialogue, room tone, effects, music cues and clearance).
  • Board: storyboards in 16:9 and 9:16, and a reframe board that plans both shapes from one shoot.
  • Shoot: shot list, shooting order by set-up, location recce, small-crew call sheet (with emergency details), kit and props, take log and continuity notes.
  • Edit: an assembly plan by shot ID, and a pick-up list.

Built for solo creators and small crews, not film-crew paperwork.

Who it is for

  • Creators, small businesses and freelancers who shoot their own video.
  • Anyone who wants a deliberate look: colour, light, lens and sound planned, not found in the edit.
  • Anyone who has found a missing shot in the edit.
  • Small crews who want one plan everyone can follow.
