SEV UK Household Continuity File

When someone is ill or dies, the people close to them often do not know which accounts, pensions, policies and subscriptions exist, where the papers are, or what was wanted. This file gathers it in one calm, practical place, and a short yearly review keeps it true.

• People: who to contact first, emergency and household information (medicines, dependants, keys, stopcock, boiler), and the professionals who hold your papers.
• Money and pensions: bank and building society accounts, ISAs, Premium Bonds and investments, debts, and every pension, with how to check your State Pension forecast and trace a lost pension through the government's Pension Tracing Service.
• Insurance, home and papers: policies, household services and how to stop or transfer each one, subscriptions to cancel, and where every important document is kept.
• Digital: Apple Legacy Contact and Google Inactive Account Manager, explained step by step from Apple's and Google's own help pages (checked 27 October 2026), and a register of devices and accounts.
• Wishes: where your will, power of attorney and funeral wishes are kept, and who is named in them.
• Review: a 30-minute yearly routine, and a page for the person who picks the file up.

Locations, not secrets. There are no fields for passwords, PINs, security answers or full account numbers. Where a reference helps, you write the last four digits only, and the file explains why.

The Excel register holds the same lists, with a "last checked" date, the next review and a status for every line (not yet checked, due soon, overdue, up to date), and a summary of every register. It comes blank and as a worked example with a fictional household.

For the UK, with England and Wales detail where the rules differ, and the Scotland and Northern Ireland positions noted (powers of attorney, Tell Us Once). Every official statement is dated and sourced on its last page.

As a consumer, you normally have 14 days after the day your contract is formed to cancel without giving a reason. If you validly consent to early supply and acknowledge the loss of your cancellation right, that right ends when supply begins. To cancel while that right remains, email info@swordeyevisions.com with your order number and a clear request to cancel. No special wording is required. Your statutory rights if digital content is faulty, not as described or otherwise fails to meet legal requirements remain unaffected.

Refunds and statutory rights

If you exercise a valid statutory cancellation right, we will refund the amount due without undue delay and within 14 days after you tell us you are cancelling, using the original payment method unless we agree otherwise, without a refund fee. After supply, we will assess any problem with the digital content and provide the remedy required by law. We may consider goodwill requests individually; no additional blanket refund guarantee is promised. Where an order is cancelled or refunded and access is withdrawn, we deactivate its download access separately. Deactivation does not remove copies already saved to your device. These terms do not limit rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

The SEV household licence, as printed on page 2 of the PDF and in the register: one customer's non-transferable licence to organise their own household's records. You may share copies with household or family members who help manage those records, on their own devices, and print as many copies as you need for that purpose. No resale, no redistribution outside that household or family, no sublicensing, publishing or uploading for others, no use for anyone else's commercial purposes, and the files may not be presented as your own work. Never add passwords, PINs or security details to a copy you share.
